~ F. A. Q. ~
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Could I use your photo(s) as a reference for drawing/painting?
- Yes, be my guest and please send me a link to your finished work.

- Can I have permission to use your photos for manipulation work?
- No.

- Can I use your photos for a collage?
- No.

- Are these your Siberian Husky dogs/puppies?
- Yes, all the Siberian Huskies are mine and the pups are their litters.

- Are you a breeder?
- Yes, we get a new litter of puppies every 12 to 18 months and place them in new homes.

- Do you show or race your dogs?
- No.

- How many Siberian Huskies do you have?
- Sasha (F), Vassi (M), Mischa (F).

- Are Siberian Huskies easy to train?
- No, Siberian Huskies are highly intelligent but they are also very stubborn so an owner/trainer must spend a lot of time working with them.

- Are Siberian Huskies aggressive by nature?
- No, they usually have excellent temperament and disposition.  A breeding pair with such desirable qualities will natually produce litters with similar temperament.

- Do they get along with other dogs?
- Yes, Siberian Huskies thrive when they live with other dogs around... like wolves, they are pack animals and do well with company even when the other dogs are not of the same breed.  Show your love and they'll respect you back.

- Do they get along with cats or other smaller pets?
- That depends on each individual dog.  Usually they will get along with cats if introduced to them at early age.  However, a mature Siberian Husky may not tolerate strange cats or smaller pets.  As always, close supervision is required when having two strange pets interacting with each other for the first time.

- What cameras do you use to photograph your dogs?
- They are all Canon digitals: 1D Mark III, 40D, 30D, PowerShot Pro1, PowerShot A470, and Elph S100.

- Why do you have watermarks on your images?
- All my photographs are copyrighted and may not be reproduced.

One more question, I'm REALLY sorry if it bothers you in any way.
I have this website [link] and it's a realistic sled-dog RPG. It's in Polish though. Would you allow to use your photos on websites like these?

I've been away from DA for a while and checked back here a few days ago. I was very happy to see you back here. If I remember right you had left DA months ago, it looks like you've returned. I'm very happy to see your wonderful dogs.

Not meaning to be offensive (and I am honestly sorry if you take it that way, which I cannot help), but here's an extra question for your FAQ:

"Do you ever answer questions posted on any of your photo pages?"

I ask because I have sometimes posited questions to you...and I know many many others have...and I almost never see answers of any kind. Why is that, I wonder?

Hi, I know you're very busy... but I'm in panic mode ..... I help out at the SPCA whenever I can, a puppy has got Cat Flu ... some idiot vet!!!! that the SPCA use said it was worms! anyway back to the point, puppy is at my vet and it's touch and go if he'll survive...

Now my two huskies have been exposed, because I brought the puppy home before I went to my vet, wouldn't have mattered anyway because the germs were on my clothes, hands, shoes etc... They are up to date with their shots due again on 28 Aug... I'm going to take them in tomorrow morning (Monday) to the vet ... but if you know anything about Cat Flu and huskies and any early warning signs that I must look out for, please can you give any advise?

Usually the vaccines given at the vet's office is a simple combo shot against common canine viruses which doesn't protect against Cat Flu.

The best you can do is probably keep them clean and wash their rubber/plastic chew toys as well as water and food bowls on a daily basis. Try some bacteria-killing liquid dish detergent (avoid Pine-Sol) and warm water. Probably need to quarantine the pup in a separate room for the meantime, if it is in-fact contagious.

Thanks so much for your advice! The puppy is hospitalized and I am going there in about an hour to find out more and how the puppy is doing...

I have also gone onto google, keep this, if you ever come across the virus it may be helpful to you...

In the meantime, all their stuff is going to get Bleached (it's apparently the only effective disinfectant)

Hi there. I absolutely love your cat images. I especially love the tigers, those are my favorite animals. I was wondering where you get all of your pictures. Do you take them at a zoo?

Purebred Siberian Huskies are known for their great temperament towards people and other dogs. However, certain dogs may get their particular trait from the parents. If the parents of your grandad's Husky was equally aggressive it means that they have genetically passed on an undesirable trait to him--then there's not much you can do about it.

If you believe that the dog is just being a little overprotective of your grandad, since you haven't been around for three years, perhaps there's a chance that the two of you could get along once you get to know each other better.

I suggest that you take caution around him and ask your grandad to feed him and walk him on leash with his presence of course. It's very important that your grandad still retains control of his dog while letting you create a bond by feeding and walking him.

Best of luck and Merry Christmas! :holly:

Thanks,I'm gonna go ask my grandad about his parents and tell you...
I have a 10 year old sister and the dog lets her pet him and feed him.
My sis has these old dresses that are small for her so she dresses him into them and he just stays there. He gives her the "whatever it takes to get rid of you look"and when I'm with her he is neutral to me but I'm not alowed to touch him because he'll attack me.
Merry Christmas again and thank you

Are the red huskies rare? Do you sell the pups? If so, how much do the red ones go for?

It all depends on average vet bill/expense. Usually between $475 to $525 per puppy with full registration doc. :)

My mum and I are breeders and showers of Canaan Dogs, and from what I've heard and seen, it seems that the Canaan and Siberian Husky have similar builds and temperments/personalities.

Basically, they're too smart for their own good =P haha

I noticed that you don't show your dogs, but do you breed specifically for pet quality or show quality or both?

I have a question for you and i hope you do not take this the wrong way. but do you inbreed? from the looks of your three dogs, you don't. i have sadly run into several husky breeders who inbreed and can't seem to find one that doesn't. maybe i just have bad luck. XD

No. Our three adult dogs came from three distinct breeders and bloodlines. I do not purchase my own pups from puppy farms and do extensive checks on their parents before I purchase them from breeders. Everyone should do that. :)

Do you get your puppies fixed before you put them in new homes?
I am interested in getting a Husky and have a 1 yr old boxer/Doberman mix and would like to know if huskies can get along with her.
I was wondering what the new owners of your puppies have to do before you give them the puppies?
How much do you sell your husky puppies for?
And if someone is interested in buying one of your husky puppies and they live in a different state what would be a better way to get them?

I'm thinking about getting a husky.

But I live in Florida. Do You think they would be okay to have in Florida with our Hot weather?

Cause I don't wanna get a dog and it be miserable.

Simple answer: yes, they would be okay.

There are Siberia Husky owners all over the world from the artic to tropical regions. They tend to adjust fairly well to climate changes. Just like you wouldn't go out running around in 100 degrees weather, make sure your dog has a shaded area to relax with plenty of fresh water to stay hydrated. You could teach them to swim in a swallow pool or pond, but always keep an eye on them.
