Still behind with reading comments and viewing new deviations... Getting busier with my international trading business and management consulting firm--which is a good sign for some growing companies.  I'll be on the road soon visiting clients and hopefully getting a chance to explore new places (with my camera gear).

A friend used to manage a youth soccer training camp which I assisted as a marketing consultant until his retirement.  Hundreds of used team jerseys were already donated to public schools and non-profit soccer organizations for children.  We still have some matching team uniforms and individual jerseys and shorts available.  They are for youth players between ages of 5 to 11 and are in good condition.  Please contact me if you know any school or organization in your area (within the USA) that may be interested in these free items.

Just received my 2009 commission check from deviantART today.  Thanks again to everyone that have purchased my print(s) Sooper-Deviant.deviantart.com/… last year--which generated $226.66 in profit.  This entire fund will be donated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital www.stjude.org along with my hair to Locks of Love--an organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children under age 18 suffering from long-term medical hair loss.

Last but not least, my gratitude to Christopher for his generous gift of an unexpected subscription.

Thank you for your visit, comments and features.
Eat well, exercise often, live honorably, respect nature, and be happy!  :peace:

- Could I use your photo(s) as a reference for drawing/painting?
- Feel free to use my non-stock photos as reference to your traditional and/or digital drawings/paintings. Please send me a link to your finished work, I'd like to see your interpretation.

- Can I have permission to use your photos for manipulation work, web design, web blog, games, or other personal/school/work projects?
- No.

- Can I use your photos for a collage?
- No.

- Are these your Siberian Husky dogs/puppies?
- Yes, all the Siberian Huskies are mine and the pups are their litters.

- Are your dogs and their puppies registered?
- Yes, our dogs and their litters are AKC and ACA registered.

-Do you have any puppies available at the moment?
- No.

-Where did you find your Siberian Huskies?
-Our own purebred dogs were carefully selected from different reputable breeders and raised from an early age.

- Do you show or race your dogs?
- No, I do not believe in dog shows and have not trained them as a team for races.

- How many Siberian Huskies do you have?
- Sasha (F), Vassi (M), Mischa (F).

- Are Siberian Huskies easy to train?
- No, Siberian Huskies are highly intelligent but they are also very stubborn so an owner/trainer must spend a lot of time working with them.

- Are Siberian Huskies aggressive by nature?
- No, they usually have excellent temperament and disposition.  A breeding pair with such desirable qualities will natually produce litters with similar temperament.

- Do they get along with other dogs?
- Yes, Siberian Huskies thrive when they live with other dogs around... like wolves, they are pack animals and do well with company even when the other dogs are not of the same breed.  Show your love and they'll respect you back.

- Do they get along with cats or other smaller pets?
- That depends on each individual dog.  Usually they will get along with cats if introduced to them at early age.  However, a mature Siberian Husky may not tolerate strange cats or smaller pets.  As always, close supervision is required when having two strange pets interacting with each other for the first time.

- What cameras do you use to photograph your dogs?
- They are all Canon digitals: 1D Mark III, 40D, 30D, PowerShot Pro1, and Elph S100.

- Why do you have watermarks on your images?
- All my photographs are copyrighted and may not be reproduced.

~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~

If you are interested in raising a Siberian Husky, make sure that you have plenty of room and lots of patience and dedication for daily exercise and obedience training. This breed of dog is highly intelligent but equally stubborn and may be fairly destructive if untrained or neglected. A young puppy is "cute" but he or she needs your attention and love to grow into a nice dog and loyal companion. Please be responsible and do some research before buying or adopting any pet to ensure that it matches your personality and lifestyle. There are many unfit parents who give up their children in this world and even more unqualified pet owners who abandon their dogs... Don't be one of them!  :peace:

Recently I received complaints from four unhappy and deeply disturbed deviants regarding the popularity of my photographs.  It seems like they can’t stand seeing snapshots of my Siberian Huskies appearing on DA’s front page whenever they log in.  In fact, they were so emotionally disturbed; they felt it was necessary to let me know how unhappy they were.  The following are two actual examples:

Unhappy deviant No.1: "I'm fed up seeing those mediocre husky shots at the front page every single day..." :angered:

Unhappy deviant No.2: “…your images dominate the entire [Domesticated Animals] category…” and “…you have too many of them.” :angered:

Now, I do understand not everyone likes Siberian Huskies, dogs, or even animals for that matter.  Perhaps they don’t find the breed attractive; maybe they had bad experiences with dogs; can’t stand the sight of a silly puppy; or simply woke up on the wrong side of bed and having a bad day.  :(

It’s fine with me if they prefer seeing something else on the front page, but why direct their personal attacks towards me?  I’m not part of DA’s administration nor control what appears at the front page.  Just like any average deviant, I upload whatever and whenever I want for those that feel like looking at them.  Not forcing anyone to look at daily snap shots of my wonderful pets and definitely not begging anyone to favorite my work.

So here are my simple solutions offered to those unhappy people:

Option No.1: Perhaps you should do something about it... like having one of your deviations at the front page instead.  I’ll be happy for you, really! :boogie:

Option No.2: Mind your own business and stay away from my gallery.  I don’t tell you how often or how many deviations you can upload per day so don’t even try that on me.  Just let it go and move on with your life. :)

Option No.3: Address your complaint to a DA administrator.  He or she may explain DA’s policies and how exactly a deviation appears on the front page.

Option No.4: Find something else to do with your time.  Preferably something productive and positive to better your life or even perform a random act of kindness for a complete stranger… Trust me, you’ll feel much better later even if you’re having a bad day at the moment.  :handshake:

Option No.5: If all fails, seek professional help.  Yes, I’m being sarcastic now but maybe that’s what you need!

Photography is a hobby of mine and I enjoy capturing my Siberian Huskies among other subjects on camera.  I have dedicated a simple gallery to my pets and try to maintain this humble gallery of mine “friendly” for people of all ages because I know plenty of minors form part of this growing DA community.  In fact, some of my friends and their children have accounts here and they have as much right as you and I to showcase their work… Browse through my favorites and you’ll find them whether they are experienced photographers or just an amateur like myself doing it for fun.

Over the years, I have shared information about pet care, addressed dog behavior issues, and even offered obedience training techniques to numerous inquiries from people whom I’ve never met in my life.  What do I get out of all this?  Just the satisfaction to know that there are many others, like my family, in this world willing to share our homes with those amazing creatures that make us better human beings.

So moving on to the positive side: Just in the past three days almost 300 deviants have added this gallery to their watch list.  Hundreds others have added :+fav:’s and although I don’t have enough time to thank each one of you personally, please realize that it’s been a pleasure showing you my photographs and reading your entertaining comments and/or stories about your own pets.

Today is a great day because we are celebrating my father’s birthday.  It’s a blessing for my family because he recovered from a heart attack several years ago and has been doing fine since his surgery.

Peace and happiness to all!
Anthony

Okay, so everyone in my company got sent home right after lunch today because of the nasty snowstorm.  We got about three inches of snow in just over the first hour.  Fortunately, I have a dependable car, snow tires, and common sense to guide me home safely... although one can never be too careful because of some idiots on the same road.

On my way home there were few speeders sliding from one side of the road to another.  Then, while plowing snow on my driveway, dozens of vehicles got stuck half way up the hill on my street and one by one backed down.  Some idiots seemed to believe that if they go really fast they can go around those that are stuck, bypass that half foot of snow and plow their way to the top.

Just a minute ago, a semi-truck got stuck and then came down in reverse while holding traffic from both sides of the street.  One tiny car came up fast and furious style and ended up stuck on the opposite side of traffic.  Another driver in a SUV insisted for several minutes, but failed to even go half way up.  Many of my neighbors must be delighted to find their front lawns with deep tire marks after this storm passes.

With that being said, there’s at least a foot (30cm) of snow outside and I’m taking my pack of Huskies out to the neighborhood park for a run!

Be cool and drive safe!
:)
