Mischa and Vassi are still moulting at the moment. They get groomed at least once a day, for about 15 to 20 minutes, with a rubber brush and a Dyson Animal vacuum cleaner is used to pick up furs in the house. While outside, most of their shed furs are picked up by birds and rabbits as insulation material for their nests. Few weeks from now my big pups will begin to grow new winter coats--just in time for the cold season.

Siberian Husky and summertime: while the dual layered fur insulates this dog in the cold, it also deflects harmful UV rays away from its body. If you are a dog owner living in a sub-tropic or tropic region, early mornings and evenings are the best time for runs and other daily exercises. Like people, any dog (regardless of breed) can suffer from heatstrokes so plenty of fresh drinking water and shaded/air conditioned areas should be accessible at all time to keep them hydrated and comfortable.
